Early Years Stuff

From the lovely people at Kent Ed comes the Early Years Activities site. If you have a stand alone machine linked to the net or can transfer the files, some of the activtives are downloadable.

My favourites are the snowman builder and the minibeast maker!

This one’s a little bit flakey

Want to try making snowflakes without the mess or try them out before making them?

Try Make-a-Flake.

Thanks Su.

I have been playing for hours now!!!

Paper play

Don’t be put off by the fact this comes from Yamaha, this website has loads of downloadable paper craft models of differing levels of complexity. You need scissors, craft knives and some strong glue to make these.

Well worth the effort.

Polish Stuff

Found these downloadable resources with English/Polish translations from teachers on the TES website.

You couls also try this Polish/English online translator but always be aware that sometimes the grammar is a bit off!

Very useful for everyone in the classroom.

Szczęśliwe Boże Narodzenie!

Virtual St Paul’s

st_pauls_cathederal.JPG

This unique virtual St Paul’s Cathedral allows you to move around the building and using the Panoramas window, visit individual areas of the catherdral itself.

Use the Narration button to hear even more about St Paul’s, and use the images to hear some detail in more depth .

Make a Splash

pollock.jpg

If you want to recreate Jackson Pollock’s art but are afraid that the cleaners may want to kill you due to the amount of mess, or even with shirts the children will get covered in paint, try Pollock Generator. Good for sketch books but still not as good as doing the real thing!

More Habitats

bbchabitats.jpg

I seem to be on a bit of a roll at the moment with Habitats, so here’s another link to a great BBC Habitats site. Click on the circled areas for HOTSPOTS and drag the image left/right to move across the horizon. The site even changes during each of the seasons. Thanks to Su again, who put me onto this one.
